Car Shipping to New Zealand: March Report

During the previous month there has been a slight increase in used imported passenger vehicles in New Zealand. The figures show a total of 13,016 used imported passenger vehicles in March which means 1,044 units more than in February.

Japan remains the main exporter with 12,288 used imported passenger vehicles this month and a market share of 94.8%. Australia comes second with 475 vehicles exported to New Zealand and a market share of 3.7%. USA is next with 83 exported units. Singapore sit just 4 vehicles behind and Great Britain next with 62 vehicles exported.

In March, all countries have increased their number of vehicles exported to New Zealand.

Imports are almost the same as the first quarter of 2015. Last year 35,066 used cars entered the country during the first four months. This year 34,757 have come in - it is a very small decrease of less than 1%.
